Made of a highly absorbent cotton blend fabric that soaks up moisture, the Solace mat from Hugger Mugger is ideal for hot-style yoga. More like a rug than a mat, the Solace cushions the joints while you move from downward dog to triangle pose, with a nonskid backing that stays securely on the floor. However, the textured surface makes the Solace far more absorbent than a simple towel, and its solid construction never bunches up the way a towel does. Sara Chambers, founder of Hugger-Mugger, was an accomplished woodworker when she came to yoga. Its tremendous impact on her health made yoga a way of life for Sara.
